Currently exploring the never regions of psychedelic tech house music and being influenced by DJ's and Artists such as Eddie Richards, Mr C, Nathan Coles, Terry Francis, Daniel Poli, Paul Stubbs and Dave Mothersole to name but a few. The Donton began finding and collecting records from the age of 16 and has been influenced by tech-house from the age of 18. Early experiences with this music began to build the knowledge and stimulate the creative mind into what is now hoping to be a full time career. From this, The Donton began studying DJ and music production in college and then took a degree in Music Technology and Audio Systems at Huddersfield University (UK) to build his knowledge about the genres of music he had become interested in.
During his studying time in 2002, he came across Swag Records. The Donton's influence greatly advanced not only with the knowledge behind tech house as a whole, but from there has discovered other areas of Electronic music.
Now finally after 3 years of university and achieving another goal by gaining his BsC degree the Donton has grown in confidence and gained experience in the DJing field by winning a DJ competition in London. This has made him play across the globe and also play in other areas of the UK. He also played at Swag Record’s Xmas party in 2005 and was fortunate to play alongside those individuals who had inspired him.
Learning from the great influences of these DJ's and producers, being experimental and learning himself and with his vast collection of records, The Donton will be giving out his interpretations to mixing, producing and most importantly delivering good quality music, making a mad psychedelic party out of life. At the end of the day that's what music is all about, it being the catalyst for those great times to flow...
